Sustainability is paying off! T-Systems – Big Data Leader

It’s now official: T-Systems is not only one of the market leaders in the growing big data segment, but also the leading service provider and system integrator when it comes to implementing big data projects. In the categories Big Data Operations, Big Data Security Analytics and Big Data Consulting & Solutions, T-Systems is ranked as the best business enterprise in the category for competitive strengths in the latest Big Data Benchmark 2014 from Experton.

Market leader in Big Data Consulting & Solutions thanks to defined services

The top ranking in the Big Data Operations category stems from the classic Hadoop offering and the innovative Dynamic HANA offering. Thus the extraordinary position in the Big Data Consulting & Solutions category does not surprise me at all. T-Systems is seen as the leading consulting house with increasing frequency. In addition to Experton, customers also have come to appreciate the complete and sustainable approach and consulting offering from T-Systems. The purpose of the approach is to fully support the customer, from the initial assessment of his big data potential and infrastructure, to the sustainable development of his big data road map.

Sustainable consulting modules

During consulting sessions, customers express great interest in having a sustainable big data strategy along with smooth implementation. They expect that effective big data solutions will be delivered to meet their specific needs. But how can a provider meet these extremely high demands for the development of an effective strategy and trouble-free implementation? This can be done with a four-step approach that begins with an analysis followed by implementation and migration. This leads to a data analysis and the enrichment of the data. Then actual operations can begin. In addition to providing big data processes and applications that are secure and highly available, it is important to see that these four steps are constantly optimized.

Good ratings for consulting and solutions offering

Experton’s view of the T-Systems consulting and solutions portfolio was quite positive. The Experton analysts say the following in their Big Data Benchmark: “The already extensive consulting offering was developed further based on a specific approach that considerably sharpened the contours of the profile. Worthy of note are the standardized consulting offerings at fixed prices, such as the Innovation Workshop or the In-Memory Assessment, which support the customer from the initial concept to implemented operations.” Services also made a good impression on the analysts, for example, Hadoop-as-a-Service. In short, T-Systems considerably improved its position in the benchmark.

Do you have experience in consulting and solutions offerings? And experience with T-Systems? If so, I would be delighted to receive your comments and feedback. We see this benchmark as a stimulus for expanding our current portfolio with innovative modules that will improve our range of offerings and make us even more competitive.

I look forward to hearing from you!
